Butterfly Wrangle Regatta
June 4-5, 2005

The 2005 version of the Wrangle Regatta was held at White Rock Lake on June 4th and 5th in challenging conditions. A total of 14 Butterfly's registered prior to first gun. South winds from 15 mph, gusting over 20 mph on both days, created an exhilarating experience for the Butterfly sailors. Five races were attempted and completed, four on Saturday, with a single race on Sunday.

Gary Eppink exhibited his usual tenacity to consistently finished high and capture overall first place. Sandy Denison pushed to the last, finishing a single point behind for second place, with Bruce Faust finishing in third place. Angela Pennington captured top woman honors and promising youngster Paul Denison was the top junior.
