Racing Rules of Sailing
2013-2016

Every four years, in the year following the Olympic Games, the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) issues a revised edition of the racing rules which are endorsed by US Sailing. The revised rules will take effect January 1, 2013.

REVISED RACING RULES FOR 2013-2016

The Racing Rules of Sailing for 2013-2016 (RRS) has been made available to
download online ahead of the worldwide date of implementation on January 1,
2013. The RRS are the definitive rules which govern sailing races around the
world. They are revised and published every four years by ISAF. The new
edition of the RRS is available with the rational for the changes. We will race under the RRS with the US Sailing prescriptions.

The RRS book with prescriptions may also be purchased from US Sailing and is provided free to members.

The new rules are available on the ISAF website and the US Sailing prescriptions are also available online.
